These era-defining Schomburg covers are highly collectible, and always sought after in any grade.

This is a complete (16 + 12 leaves each side of single staple plus cover), original copy, printed during wartime resource rationing (hence uneven pagination each side of staple). The cover is not attached at the single staple. The ink strike is excellent with strong remaining gloss. The staple shows no rust. Paper is supple and still showing its strength. The overall handling wear is moderate, with some minor interior tears making this copy look much better than VG but not quite FN.

Defects include reading stress, creases, edge chips and small tears as shown and as associated with estimated grade.

If not noted above or shown by the pictures, the book to the best of our knowledge possesses no repair, no conservation, no trimming, and no restoration.
