This is a complete, original copy. Have a look at the cover color – absolutely glorious, robust and beautiful in its reds and blues. The ink strike is so fresh it looks wet. This copy shimmers in its mylar. A very pleasurable presentation on a very difficult issue to find with any gloss or ink quality remaining on the cover.

All in all a BEAUTY! I love this cover for so many reasons … I mean: No matter how fast I go — this PIRATE TORPEDO keeps following me!! True that. Grade estimate is tricky on this one as it presents as a higher grade copy and feels like it has hardly been read, with some nicks and chips to the edging as shown. It has a spine split 3″ plus from top past top staple and 2″ from bottom, so common with late 50’s paper. Top staple shows some rust but bottom staple is clean. It is an ORIGINAL OWNER book, with no attempt at conservation. While I personally don’t like tape, there are ways it could be applied along with a vintage staple replacement to keep under a blue label with a very respectable grade given the accumulation of virtues this copy possesses. Of course, cash or conscience – your pick.  Note that the condition of the spine, which is hanging on to the bottom staple but not the top, means that this book cannot be pawed at then returned – so no returns on this baby. It has been fully examined and accurately presented in this listing. It is a beautiful book to behold, something any collector would be proud to look upon as their own.
