Tough Issue, Lots O’Flavor Left!

A couple of legends who “deserve this period of relaxation” poolside with a pair of blondes … I wonder where this night ended its story? I say “advantage Namor” given all the water.

A very difficult golden age issue to find, with about 40 TOTAL copies in census.

This is a complete, original, solid copy. The cover is tightly attached at the staples. The staples show no rust. Paper is supple, solid, and still showing its strength. Ink strike is vibrant and cover gloss is exceedingly strong.

Defects include the 5/8”x5/8” topleft backcorner tear, spine roll, slight interior writing and some dust shadow / staining here and there.

All in all an awesome piece of ante-Marvel history.

The book to the best of our knowledge possesses no repair, no conservation, no trimming, and no restoration.

By way of grade, it’s forgivingly approaching FN in that it would definitely be punching into FN/VF territory if not for the backpage, some of which can be tidied up. A clean and reset of the roll could get this to show as a higher grade unrestored copy, almost certainly one of the top 20 to come to market. The accumulation of merit in this copy definitely pushes it higher than that back cover chip would suggest.
